TAS Professional, LLC is headquartered in North Carolina with regional US offices in Florida, Chicago, and California. International offices are located in Hong Kong, Colombia, the Philippines and Spain

Management Team

John Logan

Mr. Logan is TAS PRO Market Intelligence’s head quantitative derivatives strategist. He oversees development for derivatives modeling, risk management and quantitative cross asset class research activities. His responsibilities include analytical modeling, relative value and trading model construction and implementation.

Prior to the formation of TAS Professional, LLC, Mr. Logan was a Co-founder of Instaquote, an execution and data delivery software business, ultimately purchased by Bank of America. Mr. Logan was a founding and managing member of NT Financial Group, a worldwide clearing Broker Dealer located in the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). He started Trade Vest, LLC, which primarily focused on equities and options trading in the electronic arena. At Trade Vest, Mr. Logan wrote proprietary trading applications while establishing IT protocols for, and subsequent IT management of the firm. Mr. Logan also founded NCX Trading, a proprietary trading firm located in the CBOT. Mr. Logan holds a Mathematics and Statistics degree from North Carolina State University, and has expertise in PASCAL, JAVA, C++, and proprietary database applications.

Ed Katinas

Lead project manager of the development of the TAS PRO Indicator Suite™ and associated software. Mr. Katinas is also director of the research arm of TAS Professional, LLC. His responsibilities include research and development for all software needs, overseeing the coding process & leading the focus and content of all research products.

Before TAS Professional, LLC, Mr. Katinas was with Trade Angle Strategies, LLC for 9 years as a founding partner. His earlier experience includes posts as Head Trader and Portfolio Risk Manager for Actos Financial Engineering in Meerbusch, Germany and TriStar International Trade Inc in Moscow, Russia. This is where he began developing analytical software tools for technical analysis. Mr. Katinas holds a degree in Mechnical Engineering, Lithuania.

Peter Emmanuel

Mr. Emmanuel is Director of Sales and Training at TAS Professional, LLC. He oversees the integration of the TAS Professional indicator suite of tools for Bloomberg users. His responsibilities include initial set-up, training, and user- integration for all premium products provided to Bloomberg users. Other responsibilities include customized consultation agreements, and customized product development designed to meet specific needs of institutional trading desks.

Prior to joining TAS Professional, LLC, Mr. Emmanuel was the founder of Mia Venture Capital, LLC, and was engaged in raising money for private equity. Mr. Emmanuel graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Economics in 1983. He started at Prudential Bache Securities having gone through the corporate training program as a series 7 broker and then joined the firm of Paine Webber as a Senior Vice President of Investments. Mr. Emmanuel grew up in Old Westbury, New York and now resides in Tampa, Florida

John Carey

Oversees the company’s technology infrastructure deployment including server architecture and network management. Mr. Carey is also responsible for software design and development, including software implementation, testing, delivery and ongoing support. Mr. Carey spearheaded the code development of the TAS PRO Tools, conducting key research and overseeing model testing. Mr. Carey has facilitated the growth of the TAS PRO technology group, supporting business in over 50 countries.

Mr. Carey has direct responsibility for the day to day oversight of technical details impacting users. With meticulous attention he ensures that important technology details inherent in our business are addressed timely and accurately. Mr. Carey’s strengths lie in his ability to quickly absorb new technologies and applications and apply them to the TAS PRO IT business models. Prior to joining TAS PRO in 2005, Mr. Carey managed information technology for three financial firms. He has extensive experience in – LAN, WAN, HTML, C++, API’s for trading networks.

Juan Estrada

A key member of TAS Professional’s South American Operations team. With a focus on Latin American markets and providing coverage of the principal equity indexes of Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile, he also monitors major currency futures and US equity index futures. Mr. Estrada also serves as co-moderator and Spanish support for the TAS PRO Bloomberg Persistent Chat.

Prior to joining TAS Professional, Mr. Estrada was a founding member of the Reditum Group and Ingresarios, acting as Risk Manager, Strategy Automation Developer, Designer of Performance Metric Systems, and Head Coach of multiple proprietary trading teams. Mr. Estrada holds a Physics Engineering degree from National University of Colombia and has expertise in a variety of programming and platform oriented languages.
